I begged for this yarn, and out of a thousand FB friends, one friend bought me a skein. $198? Wasn't happening. At all. Not outta this pocketbook. Until I got it in my hands. Oh. My. God. Talk about yarngasm?!
It is 100% merino wool. I don't even buy fishermens wool because I'm an acrylic cheapskate. But y'all- YALL- I guarantee this is worth the investment. This yarn is EVERYTHING.
I am impatient. That's why I don't knit and I don't work with hooks smaller than H or yarn smaller than worsted weight. This throw took a total of 2 hours. EVERYTHING.
I am not a knitter. I know how, but I'm not as good a knitter as I am a crocheter. I bit the bullet because I knew crochet would take up too much yarn, and I'm a CHEAPO. Not only did I brush up my knit-2-purl-2 chops, I made something beautiful and functional while doing it. Whether I teach crochet, or whether I'm teaching 8th graders about US History, that's my goal- students need quick gratification before long-term stamina. This. Was. IT.
Next time y'all see a post, it may be announcing a name change: "Chrissy's Crochet Creations... Knits Too!" Lol
I certainly WILL be buying more. I get a bonus March 31. My bonus will be going to www.loopymango.com. Visit their website and you will fall in love like I did. They have lots of colors. This one's Grey Heather.
Next stop: bedspread. ❤️
